Keji Ita, LMSW
(She/Her)
Therapist for First-Gen Adults, Perfectionists, and People Unraveling Family Baggage
You don’t have to prove your pain. You just have to bring it.
If you’ve spent your life being the strong one, the high achiever, the “put-together” person everyone leans on—therapy with me is a space where you can finally set that down.
I work with adults who are processing the emotional cost of perfectionism, complicated relationships with parents, and the pressure that comes with being first in their family to take on new paths, identities, or expectations.
I offer a grounded, calming space to slow down, feel your feelings, and tell the truth—without being judged or misunderstood.
You might feel at home in therapy with me if...
You’re a first-generation adult balancing two worlds and feeling stretched in both
Your relationship with your parents is complicated, but it’s hard to name why
You feel like you’re always holding it together for everyone else
You’re tired of trying to be perfect and ready to get real
You want a therapist who understands nuance and listens deeply
What to Expect
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you see yourself more clearly and giving you space to grow without pressure or performance. I don’t give one-size-fits-all advice. I offer curiosity, compassion, and consistent support. Together, we’ll untangle the stuff that’s been weighing on you and make space for something new.
As a certified yoga instructor, I also integrate somatic techniques—like breathwork, mindfulness, and gentle movement—for clients who want to connect more deeply with their bodies in the healing process. Whether or not we use those tools depends on what feels right for you.
