Jennifer Shaw, LCSW
(She/Her)
Owner. Therapist. Straightforward Support.
Therapy for anxious professionals, overwhelmed parents, and people asking hard relationship questions.
If you're feeling stretched thin, burned out, or quietly unraveling, you’re in the right place. I work with people who seem “fine” on the outside but are running on empty inside. My style is warm, conversational, and direct. I don’t do therapy jargon, and I don’t believe in making you wait weeks for a reply. When you reach out, I’ll answer. When we meet, you’ll get my full attention.
You don’t have to explain why you’re tired. You don’t need a perfect backstory. You just need a safe place to figure things out.
You might be a good fit for therapy with me if...
You’re anxious, over-functioning, and wondering when it will finally feel like enough
Parenting is becoming a pressure cooker, and you’re not sure what to do next
You're not sure you want to stay in your relationship, and you have no idea who to talk to about it
You want a therapist who is present, honest, and won’t waste your time
You want clarity, not cliches
What to Expect
Therapy with me is a conversation, not a performance. I’m not here to analyze from a distance. I’m here to sit with you in the hard stuff, help you make sense of it, and support you in taking the next right step. I’ll tell you the truth. I’ll give you space to think, feel, and decide. And I’ll offer solid referrals if I’m not the best fit for what you need.
In addition to talk therapy, I offer Brainspotting, a brain-body based therapeutic technique designed to help you access and resolve emotional pain that’s stored deep beneath the surface. It’s especially effective when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like words aren’t enough. Brainspotting taps into your nervous system’s natural ability to process and heal—without forcing you to relive everything out loud.
